Dimension scores
Stats & context
Everything below is split by source: hand-curated GOAT v0.1 scores, then stats computed only from games ingested in this app’s database.
Box and RNP totals reflect ingested games only. They are not official league career totals unless our ETL has the full history.
Career totals (public record)
Reference career totals (regular season and playoffs) are copied from a public box-score source for orientation alongside our warehouse. They are not produced by this app’s database.
NBA career summary totals from Basketball Reference (third-party): separate regular-season and playoffs rows. Figures update when BR updates; steals and blocks were not recorded league-wide for some eras.

RNP-WAR (v0)
1934.8
RNP-WAR (v0) compares this player’s Running Net Points rate to a replacement benchmark defined separately in each season (10th percentile RNP/min among qualified rotation-level players that year). The total is the sum of season margins in our data—not wins added in the baseball sense.
Think of replacement as “the lower edge of real rotation players that season.” If you beat that line by a lot for many minutes, you stack positive value. If you are below it, you do not.
Cross-era raw totals still mislead when pace and rules change; per-season replacement helps but does not remove schedule strength, teammates, or role effects.
Replacement pool rule: ≥300 minutes and ≥20 games in the same season; margin only counts when the player also clears that bar.

How stats relate to G / O / A / T (v0.1)
How stats relate to dimensions (v0.1): Generational is meant to reflect dominance vs peers (future: era z-scores; today largely judgment). Output aligns with career production signals such as points, assists, rebounds, and RNP where modeled. Availability aligns with games played and durability signals. Titles aligns with rings, Finals MVPs, and similar hardware in the curated metadata. Where a number is not yet computed from stats, we say so explicitly.
v0.1 dimension scores remain partly judgment-based; they are not fully derived from the tables above.
Pace, playoff path length, and historical league pace are not modeled in the warehouse yet—see methodology.
